Sally Moore, Ph.D. (Licensed Psychologist)
Dr. Moore's primary clinical interest is in treating anxiety disorders. She has extensive training and experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders and is interested in providing therapy for obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, PTSD, and other anxiety-related difficulties. In addition, she has experience and interest in providing mindfulness-based therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety and mood disorders. Dr. Moore completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Missouri - Columbia. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Washington, where she specialized in research and treatment of anxiety disorders, with particular emphasis on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). During her training at UW, she served as a research therapist on a clinical trial of prolonged exposure therapy for PTSD and provided trainings for other clinicians treating PTSD. She also studied and provided Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) on a clinical team led by Marsha Linehan, PhD. Dr. Moore has completed both an internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System - Seattle Division (VA Puget Sound), where she conducted research and provided comprehensive psychological treatment to veterans with a broad range of psychological and medical difficulties. She is a member of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA), International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS), Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), and American Psychological Association (APA). Dr. Moore also continues to collaborate on research studies with colleagues at the University of Washington and VA Puget Sound and has a faculty appointment in the University of Washington Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
